SeaWorld San Diego Aquatica to become Sesame Street theme park

It's a waterpark, but unlike Aquatica Orlando which was built from the ground up, this was a purchase and rebranding of an existing waterpark. Also unlike Aquatica Orlando, this one was open seasonally and had very little in terms of live animal exhibits. I believe it was only a few flamingos and some red-eared sliders. I imagine they'll find their way back to SeaWorld if they haven't already.

I wouldn't really say this is a move away from animal exhibits, this is more a move to expand n their Sesame Street Intellectual Property rights. There has been talk of building a second Sesame Place (although it was at one time thought to be in Williamsburg, VA). This Aquatica was purchased from Cedar Fair and Knott's Berry Farm and as stated before had very few animals to begin with. I dont see Sesame Place adding animals of course but it shouldn't be seen as moving away from animals.
