Arctic Wolf populations in zoos in North America?

Hi everyone!

I've fallen down a MAJOR rabbit hole reading and learning about Arctic Wolf populations in Canada in the past day or two, and it was suggested by another user that I try posting here to (hopefully) get more information.

I'm looking for information as to what zoos in North America currently or previously owned Arctic Wolves. Names (if known), genders, where they came from, any offspring born, parents if known, etc.

So far I've looked at populations owned by zoos in Canada, specifically the Toronto Zoo, Magnetic Hill Zoo (in Moncton, NB), Saskatoon Zoo, BC Wildlife Park, Jungle Cat World (in Orono, Ontario), Edmonton Zoo, Parc Safari (in Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Quebec), and Zoo Sauvage de Saint-Félicien.

The information I currently have has been mostly from the Canada section of this forum, as well as looking at the above zoos' websites and Facebook feeds, so mostly just from the past 10-15 years or so. I also tried looking at Zootierliste, however seeing as they have grouped Arctic Wolves with other Grey Wolves, it was only slightly helpful in pointing me in the right directions.

I do know that Arctic Wolves are not on an SSP, nor is there a studbook somewhere, which is why information seems to be a struggle to obtain. I also know that often wolves come from the wild as abandoned pups, etc.

Down the road I may also branch out further to other continents, but for now I thought I'd start my "net" small with Canada/North America before expanding abroad to look at zoos overseas and their current/past populations.

If needbe I can reply with the info I have, I'm not starting out by doing that simply because I feel like this initial post is already kinda long (lol).

Thanks in advance for any response/sharing of information!

Very few (if any) of the wolves in zoos which are claimed to be Arctic Wolves are truly Arctic Wolves, they're usually just white generic Gray Wolves.
