Has anybody ever seen a taimen exhibit in a zoo or aquarium? I just learned of taimen, the largest salmonid species on the planet. They grow to the size of large adult humans and can weigh 250 pounds.
There are lots of salmon exhibits in aquariums and zoos? Why doesn't anybody have a taimen exhibit? Is there some kind of husbandry challenge? It seems like this species could be a very impressive exhibit if someone could figure out how to do it well.
