I’m making this thread because (even with research on the site) I can’t seem to figure out if some species are kept in North America or not.
The first species I’d like to ask about is the Golden Jackal. Is it kept in North America?
I think that Golden Jackals are common animals in Europe, similar to Coyotes in the US, so they aren’t treated as exotic or rare, and thus, not exported to the USI’m making this thread because (even with research on the site) I can’t seem to figure out if some species are kept in North America or not.

I think AndyJ08 is talking about in the wild here. Not really - they are fairly scarce, with species such as African Hunting Dog, Dhole and Maned Wolf all being more commonplace, let alone Grey Wolf.

Now I would ask about Philippine Eagles, but my research gave me the answer to that question, in that, from what I’ve found, they aren’t kept in North America.
There is a pair at Jurong Bird Park in Singapore.Nope, none; I don't think there's any outside of the Phillipines. San Diego have expressed interest in holding this species in the past though, but obviously nothing has came of it.

He'd be wrong on that count too, then![]()
Are wildcats and wild boars kept in North America?
Where are they kept? I can imagine the purity is questionable. There are some wild boars about, though purity is likely questionable.

Yes to both. Are wildcats and wild boars kept in North America?
I thought Minnesota no longer had them.Minnesota I think may have pure individuals. Hovatter's Wildlife Zoo is the other place I recall. Probably some others in roadsides of highly questionable purity.
Who has wildcats? Which subspecies?Yes to both.
