Asian elephants vs African elephants in zoos

Are Asian elephants easier to keep than African elephants? It seems more zoos have them, some going as far to keep both (which I exclude from this question since African are in their collection). I know African elephants are bigger, so obviously, they're more expensive to hold, but is it true they're also more aggressive than their Asian counterpart? I don't recall hearing about many, if any, elephant attacks in captivity aside from the circus or those terrible zoos. I'm not doubting that the African elephant is more aggressive, but if so, it interests me.

Iam far from an elphant expert. But as far as I know, are asian elephants less aggrasive, and more submissive (which was more importnet in the past) than african elephants. To such an extent that african empires like the carthaginians and late egyptian empires imported them, even though african elephatns were both closer and bigger (they were used as war elephants)
