First off I am far from an expert. But with what Birmingham has done with their all bull herd do you see some facility doing something similar for Asians?

Maybe Asian males are easier to handle at a regular facility I don't know the population dynamics in AZA institutions for Asians.

I just thought this would be a different topic for discussion.

Denver Zoo's new "Toyota Elephant Passage" complex will focus on holding bull asian elephants (although I'm unsure if it will be in the bachelor herd style, or just 3 or 4 males maintained separately)

The Denver zoo is the only one in the US to currently house a group of bull elephants. I know Portland, Columbus, and the Smithsonian are planning off-site facilities for Asian elephants (the Smithsonian and Portland are supposed to house bulls)
