asthma in parrots

My brother has an orange-winged amazon parrot about 10 years old. He has been showing signs of distress and the vet says he has asthma.

Has anyone ever heard of this in a bird before?

More likely Aspergillosis or Psittacosis. Get faecals tested.

That is what I was thinking, the vet is running some tests.

The blood test was positive for an infection and a growth was removed from the air sac, results of the biopsy are not known at the moment.
