A couple of decades ago a tiny human-like skeleton, just 15cm long, was discovered in the Atacama Desert in Chile. Unsurprisingly, the find was jumped upon by alien conspiracists.
A scientific paper has recently been published on the results of DNA studies showing the skeleton to be fully-human (no surprises there), but with numerous genetic mutations - some of which were previously unknown.
