The Detroit Zoo hit the one million mark in attendance for the third consecutive year, and I'm thrilled as I rate this zoo quite highly. Arctic Ring of Life is one of the best exhibits at any North American zoo, and there is also an extensive amphibian/reptile area of the zoo. The two main detriments to the zoo have been the cold weather in winter and the lack of funds for new projects, but last year the zoo finally solidified community support for the future.
