Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Attendance Up 40% In 2009!

People are struggling financially, but they can still afford to stroll around their local zoo. Cincinnati has one of the most diverse collections of animals in all of North America, and is well worth a visit.

This is really interesting, Ive heard a few zoos saying that there attendance has been up this year. I think it is due to the fact that people cannot afford to leave the country on vacation so are opting to stay at home and visit local attractions. Its great news for zoos!

I would expect many zoos to see a boost in attendance. A family of four can get into a local zoo for the same price that it costs one person to get into the average theme park.

Good for Cincy. They've been good about making improvements over the last 2 years and always seem to have a little something to surprise even frequent visitors. Added parking off of Vine Street can't hurt either. Good to hear that the sagging economy may not impede plans to keep getting better in Cincinnati.
