Auckland Zoo Aukland Zoo Soon to display Scarlet X Macaw in a mixed exhibit

Actually the blue and gold macaws are supposed to be free flying, they have been trained to outdoor free fly. And with all this uproar over hybrids, you make like to know that one of the blue and gold macaws they already have, has the colours of a normal blue and gold but is actually also a hybrid. As you say, it takes an educated eye to spot.
 
The two gold and blue macaws came from a breeder. I remember seeing one of the zookeepers visiting the breeder on The Zoo.
