Aussie Zoo bound for Vegas

From the article it doesn't sound like there has really been anything going on with this project since the media last reported on it when they were also "in negotiations".
Given the state of the economy I wouldn't expect this project to happen any time soon, and given that it didn't happen even when the economy was good it is probably never going to happen. This is one of MANY projects for Las Vegas that gets a lot of press attention and then never happens.
