Aust Importing birds?

on another note has anybody herd of an opening of imports for birds, before or while the bird flu was going around. There Was speak of a small amount of time were people could import new birds. But i havent heard any news in around a yer, apparently quarentine opens up importation of birds every 10-15 years. And i was told that they were thinking of doing this again soon but it has been a year, so i am begginig to think it may not happen.
any info would be great thanks.

well i think this may be true and if it is planned for next year then i know that at least one large zoo wants to use it to bulk up there bird collection
