Australian Reptile Park:
In July, two female Tuatara went on display. They were imported from Chester Zoo in 2022.
In November, it was announced the following import had taken place: three King cobra, three Eyelash viper, eleven Western diamondback rattlesnake and six Honduran milksnake.
Ballarat Wildlife Park:
In January, it was announced a Rusty monitor had gone on display.
A female hybrid tiger named Akasha arrived from Dreamworld.
Two wild born Little blue penguins deemed unreleasable arrived from NSW to join the zoo’s colony.
A female Tasmanian devil named Devina died and was replaced by a male named Graham from Melbourne Zoo in March.
Billabong Zoo:
In January, a female Slender-tailed meerkat (Padfoot) was transferred to Altina Wildlife Park.
Male African lion Milo died in May due to surgery complications.
A male male Lumholtz’s tree kangaroo named Csi arrived from Oakvale to be paired with their female, Mindy.
Central Coast Zoo:
A pair of Red-fronted macaws and a Veiled chameleon arrived in March.
Births include six Slender-tailed meerkat, an Indian antelope and a Capyabra.
The arrival of Rhinoceros iguana was announced in October.
Crocodylus Park:
@WhistlingKite24 confirmed via email in November that they now have Red-handed tamarins and Capyabra.

David Fleay Wildlife Park:
In February, several Bridled nailtail wallabies began to emerge from the pouch.
Dolphin Marine Magic News:
In July, the park entered voluntary administration.
Dreamworld:
Akasha the hybrid tigress transferred to Ballarat Wildlife Park.
New Bilby Discovery Centre opened in April. It houses Greater bilby, Fat-tailed dunnart, Black-headed python, Rough-scaled python and Magnificent tree frog.
The old bilby exhibit was converted into a Spinifex hopping-mice exhibit.
Plans for a contactless Tiger Island were submitted for tender, following the news Dreamworld will be managing their tigers via protected contact.
Featherdale Wildlife Park:
The hatching of five Noisy pittas was announced in February.
The hatching of two Orange chats was announced in August.
Gorge Wildlife Park:
Four Slender-tailed meerkats (Figaro, Lilo, Meeko and Smee) were born in March
A male Capybara (Barry) was born in April.
A Plumed basilisk exhibit opened in May.
An Aldabra giant tortoise exhibit opened in June.
A spider monkey was born in July.
Halls Gap Zoo:
Two male Himalayan tahr arrived from Altina Wildlife Park.
A Brown capuchin was born in February.
Four female Asian small-clawed otter arrived from Perth Zoo (Paddy, Bibi, Bulan and Botum).
Seven Tiger quolla were born.
New Saltwater crocodile exhibit opened.
Healesville Sanctuary:
Two Dingo pups arrived (wild born/rescued).
20 Helmeted honeyeater were released.
Births/hatchings included an Emu chick, two Tawny frogmouth chicks, a Red-necked wallaby, a Red-bellied pademelon and a Guthega skink.
Fat-tailed dunnarts now on display in nocturnal house.
Raptor Rehabilitation Centre opened.
Hunter Valley Wildlife Park:
A Brolga chick hatched in January.
A pair of Golden lion tamarins arrived in June.
Two Serval (Meiko and Zuri) were sent to the National Zoo and Aquarium.
A spider monkey was born in October.
A Cheetah (Jabari) was sent to Mogo Wildlife Park, marking a phase out of Cheetah.
Mansfield Zoo:
Dalila the lioness died this year.
Melbourne Aquarium:
The aquarium announced their successful rearing of Weedy sea dragons for the sixth consecutive year.
Moonlit Sanctuary:
A successful breeding season for Orange-bellied parrots - 51 young produced by 19 pairs. As of November, 79 of these birds have been released to SW Tasmania.
Three Australian king parrots hatched.
A male Sacred kingfisher arrived.
Rockhampton Zoo:
A castrated male chimpanzee (Jerry) arrived from Sydney.
Gandali (juvenile chimpanzee) survived a snake bite.
A female Northern white-cheeked gibbon (Viann) arrived from Perth Zoo, sadly passing away shortly after her arrival.
Shoalhaven Zoo:
A Saltwater crocodile hatched.
New exhibits built for Alligator snapping turtle and Cotton-top tamarin.
Symbio Wildlife Park:
Pygmy marmosets were born in Autumn.
A subtropical walkthrough aviary opened in October.
New Little blue penguin exhibit opened in December.

The births of Long-nosed potoroo and Common wombat were announced in February.
Five Bolivian squirrel monkeys arrived from Melbourne Zoo in June.
The zoo went on sale in July.
A Grant’s zebra colt was born to Duchess in October.
