EXPECT a very strong sense of deja vu as the Irwin family returns to prime time TV next month.
With his bobbed blond hair and the same unquenchable thirst for knowledge about wildlife that his late dad Steve embodied, Robert Irwin will be front and centre in the new series, which includes archival footage of the Crocodile Hunter.
Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors will be the Irwins' first prime time series as a family since Steve's death in 2006, and Terri Irwin says Robert eerily evokes memories of her husband.
The series debuts October 6 at 7.30pm on Network Ten.
It aims to show how Terri and children Bindi, 14 and Robert, 8, and staff at Australia Zoo's Wildlife Hospital and Rescue Unit at Beerwah are continuing the Crocodile Hunter's work.
It includes rarely seen footage of Steve.
