Australia's Best Open Range Zoo?

PS: An open range zoo is always going to have problems in getting people out of their cars when they've done the tour and just want to go home.

But you could re-route the exit road back past the existing retail area for a lot less than $7million.

the redevelopment is also about attracting non-zoo visitors to the zoo who can go have a coffee etc without entering the zoo as such. but its a bit of a flawed idea. i dont know many people, tourists in particular who would bother driving to dubbo n not going to the zoo.
the way WPZ is set-up, i would estimate that the majority of people walk around, not drive. or they drive, park and walk. in saying that, Hix is absolutely true in pointing out that re-orientating the entry precinct towards vehicles flow would probably get a few more dollars out of them.
the redevelopment will be a great asset for the zoo, but it needs other animal-based assets' if its going to have more people use that entry precinct
