This is a new zoo that opend in August 2025. It's private "petting" zoo located inside a lifestyle mall in mainland Penang, The zoo is owned and operated by an animal trading company, and it's registered as a zoo but basically a "pet shop that needs a ticket to go in". Some animals had price tags.
Here's the entrance:
It's a really tiny place inside a mall, but the sign says "We have more than 60 types of animals". A small roadsise zoo with a lot of species? It means they're crammed into tiny enclosures.
Here's the indoor part of the zoo. You can see tiny reptile cages on the right, and a lot of birds perched in the middle with nowhere to move around.

Basically every enclose is super tiny, and most animals had no space to move around. I've visited a lot of zoos around Asia with almost no animal welfare, but this place could be one of the worst. The only good thing is that it's still new so it's clean, but I don't know how long this cleaniness is going to last.
