I wanted to hear from other zoochatters. What zoo or facility around the world do you think has the best aviculture program and the best suited accommodations and equipment for said program. I'd also love for you to explain the reasoning behind your choice is it based on the number of species in the program, a program based around a particular species, a combination of factors. Looking forward to seeing what people have to say.

The peregrine funds world center for birds of prey. The peregrine fund has worked with over 100 different species of raptors from 40 different countries. They have mastered raptor breeding and are the main breeders for animals like California Condors.

Thanks for the response, I haven't ever seen much from the Peregrine Fund, I'll be sure to read up on it and try and find some photos of their facility.

I can guarantee if you don’t know them you at least have heard of their work with condors and peregrine falcons.

I'm sure I have and I just don't remember their organization, I'm currently doing alot more research into the aviculture side of avian conservation so I'm finding alot of the organizations you see alot of in the field aren't necessarily always the ones doing alot of breeding in a captive setting

The Prigen Conservation Breeding Ark (PCBA) in Prigen, East-Java is focusing, amongst others, on songbird conservation. It consists of well over 200 aviaries, dedicated purely to the conservation breeding of threatened Indonesian Passeriformes. In addition, aviary complexes for Parrots and Galliformes exist at the center. All facilities are state-of-the-art and breeding success has been outstanding.
Species like Wangi-Wangi White-eye (Zosterops sp.nov.), Maratua Shama (Copsychus barbouri) and East-Javan Shama (Copsychus omissus) are kept nowhere else and highly threatened or even extinct in the wild.
