Singapore Zoo's baby Malayan tapir brings its tapir total to eight | L.A. Unleashed | Los Angeles Times

Victoria, a one-month-old Malayan tapir, is the most recent addition to the Singapore Zoo's Malayan tapir population (her birth brings the total to eight). When she's fully grown, Victoria will likely weigh between 550 and 700 pounds (although specimens have been found weighing more than 1,000 pounds) and measure about 6-8 feet in length.

I hope our local Singapore Zoo enthusiast may now be able to inform us which Malayan tapir this is.

They are maintained both at the Zoo (a pair situation and apparently amorous) and at the Night Safari (seen 2 Jan./Feb. this year). Last time, I heard they had a tapir born - which was the first in a good number of years (whether it is this individual I cannot recollect nor where I read it) -.
