Yes thats right emma has given birth for the 3rd time ! her keepers had no idea she was pregnant and is to belived to have become pregnant once moving in to realm of the red ape . Emma has already had two offspring
utara 4 and padang 11 the father of the baby is padang ! the sex of the bay is not know as of yet

at the moment the zoo have 7 sumarten orangs and 4 bornean !

Orange09- how do you know the father of this baby is 'Padang'? Its possible but can you substantiate this?

I very much doubt that Padang is the Father!

I too, doubt Padang is the father...

1. Chester's website states Puluh is the father (monkeyworld, considering you have pretty much copied and pasted info off it, surely you must've read it...)

2. Padang is in the presence of the a more dominant male, so surely Puluh wouldn't have allowed a subserviant individual to mate with one of 'his' females. (although, i'm not entirely sure if this is the case with Orangs...)

'Padang' is certainly old enough to be the father but unless they have reason to think otherwise, I would think its more likely to have been 'Puloh'- unless he wasn't being kept with 'emma' around the relevant time (and Padang was....)
