Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge is a 20-acre facility located in Orlando, Florida. Species at the facility include ring-tailed lemur, bobcat, grey fox, eastern grey squirrel, American black vulture, eastern screech owl, and gopher tortoise, among other animals. The facility closed to the public on January 30th, 2023, to construct new permanent buildings which will take around 1.5 - 2 years to complete.
On January 21st, 2024, the refuge announced that their (0.1) Sherman's fox squirrel named Rocxy passed away due to an inoperable chronic dental condition.
