Kind of a clickbait-y title. They said that the numbers of the bird were low and that their habitat was harmed by the hurricane, but not what makes them suspect extinction...

Ah, didn't see that. I kind of doubted those number after I read it, so i hoped over to eBird and saw this:

Only one submitted in eBird last year, with none this year.
