Living Coasts (Closed) Bank Cormorant Query

It occurred to me on a visit yesterday that I've never seen the Bank Cormorants off their cliff. This covers about half a dozen "proper" visits and (at least) twice that number of early morning strolls along the hill next to the place.

Has anyone ever seen them off their cliff or flying around? I'm beginning to seriously wonder if their wing muscles have atrophied.

I once saw them swimming in the penguin pool, in fact one actually landed on the water while I was photographing the one on the water.

On one of my rare visits on August 11th 2012 they were all on the ground but on my last 2 visits they were on the cliff.

I have added an image from that trip in August 2012

Thanks for both your responses, especially the photo. They must rush to the cliffs whenever they hear me coming. :)
