This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Jaguars in Germany. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is best.

If there are any outdated photos, collections that no longer hold them or people have photos for exhibits not in the gallery or with poor photos please let me know.

Unfortunately, there are no photos of this enclosure in the gallery. It would be extremely useful if someone who has visited can describe the exhibit and give an evaluation on its quality.

Rostock has the best outside area, but Berlin has a much better indoor exhibit. The two put together might just be perfect.

Actually, Berlin Zoo has just started to extend their outside enclosure. The big cats will get a second area connected via a bridge across the visitor pathway. This "island area" will contain parts of a small lake and probably also quite some grown vegetation. So they will have about twice as much area and also some interesting new structures and elements in their outside area.

You can see the direction of the respective extension area and visitor way in this (German) article (but I think the water area of the exhibit will be far less dominant than the first picture might suggest):
Berliner Jaguare bekommen Brücke über den Besuchern (bz-berlin.de)

The bridge will be almost 20 metres long and 8 metres high. The (main) construction work will take place in 2024 and they plan to let the Jaguars in there by the start of the 2025 season.
