This is just a bit of fun to judge the general consensus on the best enclosure for Leopards in Germany. I have added a few photos from the gallery to make it easier for members to compare the different exhibits. If anyone wants to make an argument for a particular enclosure, please feel free to do so. Also, I would encourage people to list the enclosures in order of what they think is best.

If there are any outdated photos, collections that no longer hold them or people have photos for exhibits not in the gallery or with poor photos please let me know.

If you wan to vote for Wildkatzenzentrum Felidae, Aschersleben, Amerika, Nordhorn, Wuppertal, Nadermann, Filmtierpark Eschede, Arche Noah, Cottbus, Eberswalde, Gotha, Hoyerswerda, Stralsund, Wingst Waldzoo, Chemnitz or Munster please vote for the "Other" option in the poll.

Wildkatzenzenteum Felidae (African)

Unfortunately, there are no photos of this enclosure in the gallery. It would be extremely useful if someone who has visited can describe the exhibit and give an evaluation on its quality.

There is something wrong with the pictures.

Overall a hard choice as none are particularly outstanding and most are average. For sure not Leipzig which has built a small exhibit just a few years back, while pretending it is great and modern.

Thanks for letting me know. They weren’t working in a different poll also. I don’t know why they’re doing that.

In sharp contrast to the many great Lion and Tiger exhibits to be found in German zoos, it seems that Leopards have drawn the short straw. I've visited 6 out of the 9 zoos in this poll, but none of the Leopard exhibits immediately sprang to mind in terms of being memorable when I saw the list. Nevertheless, my vote goes to Cologne for its size, vegetation and aesthetic appeal.

Agree, but there's only 1 enclosure, so for a known loner, I don't think that's an optimal holding.

I vote for Berlin Tierpark, although it's too small.

I really have issues voting for anyone here. Leopards are not easy to keep adequately and many enclosures are outdated. Even the new enclosures usually are disappointing.

This one is difficult. I like the Münster enclosure but although the vertical space is used very well the enclosure is still way to small. So I will vote for cologne. The size is good and there are real tress to climb which almost none of the other enclosures offer.

I honestly don't understand why the enclosure at Tierpark Berlin is still so small... It is not the worst enclosure on this list. But you can even see in the picture that therearre some of the old metal cages left. I wonder why they didn't extend the new eclosure for at least one more metal cage... if I remember correctly there was no enclosure on the right (at least none visible for the visitor) so there should be still space.

Here is a picture from Grömitz (Arche Noah) but it doesn't really matter since the enclosure is too small and has not many climbing opportunities.
