Best place to buy animal photographs for commercial use

I am looking for some animal photographs to use in a commercial project and was wondering if anyone on ZooChat knew of a good place for me to source them from.

I want pictures of specific species in a web friendly format (i.e. will be displayed no bigger than 640x480). I want to be able to display the pictures online and ideally not have any copyright constraints to worry about. I am initially looking for about 50 pictures in total (10 species / 5 pics each).

If anyone has any ideas then please let me know.
 
You could use a commercial picture agency or deal with a photographer directly. The size you mention is quite small, so payments should not be very large, unless you need to specify particular types of image.

Yes I thought that might be the best way to go. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or contacts that I can go to directly.

He's the best amateur zoo photographer i know and some magazines/sites already use his photo's. He has a lot of pictures of many different animals.

I don't know if he can (and is willing to) help you out, but it's the shortest route i can think of...

Hope he doesn't mind me mentioning him...
