I'm quite surprised Emmen scored so badly, seen as it's by far the best enclosure in terms of animal welfare with loads of space, a large pool and it being structured in a brilliant way with several types of terrain and a good amount of privacy-areas (something that almost every other exhibit here is lacking). The only thing I'd say is lacking are some more trees in the back for shade. Pairi Daiza's enclosure has the huge drawback of having no privacy at all 24/7 with the nearby hotel. Their second enclosure is also a lot smaller right? Otherwise it would have been a superb enclosure, now it feels like most of their better enclosures: not bad but also not at the level it should be (especially for a zoo that claims to be world-class). The AquaZoo and Dierenrijk enclosures look very simple but they do provide almost everything needed, the only problem with them seems to be that there are very few areas for the animals to retreat from the view of the public.
