Sorry but this poll became mostly invalid when you failed to include the bronx zoo which is widely regarded as the best in north america and is way better than milwaukee, woodland park and philladelphia.

Zurich has a genuinely spectacular Snow Leopard exhibit, it took an amazingly long time to spot the animals, and the exhibit itself is naturalistic, large and the best I have seen anywhere.

The only other zoo I have seen in this poll is Helsinki Zoo, which has perfectly suitable, but not at all spectacular, snow leopard exhibits.

Ah crap you're right. Maybe if I can come up with 10 or 5 more I can create a second one.

Not to mention those at Central Park and Binder Park, both superior to many included in this "poll"

Central Park, Rogers Williams Park, Bronx and Binder Park should all be included and perhaps two different polls could be set up (North America and Europe). But why no mention of the greatest zoo on the planet (Cincinnati)?;)

Oh hehehe snowleopard;) Although the size and rock factor (and hidden air conditioned vents) are perfect, it doesn't match up to any of the more superior ones that are built on a slope that goes up hill from the viewing point rather than down hill. I like the idea of different polls per continent, although I would be worried about them getting deleted.

I'd say Zurich looks the best.

Out of all the zoos on this poll, I've only been to Philadelphia. The Twycross one was beautiful, but I don't think it was rocky enough.

I gathered up my 10 for North America, anybody else have suggestions before I post?

Salzburg in Europe is pretty amazing, based largely on sheer size of the exhibit.

Isn't there another really good one in Sweden besides Kolmarden? Someone posted it in another thread on snow leopard exhibits, but I cannot remember the name of the place.

Yes that is it. From what I have seen online, there are only three truly outstanding snow leopard exhibits - Nordens Ark, Kolmarden Wildlife Park, Zurich Zoo. I do not understand why a northern US or Canadian zoo cannot do something similar. Comeon Minnesota, Toronto, any takers?

I haven't seen any of those exhibits, so I am disinclined to vote. However, the Stone Zoo's exhibit does look promising. Especially if it looks like the cats are able to climb those trees in the middle of the enclosure.

Much better than the horribly derivative exhibit the San Francisco Zoo has. I'll need to get a better picture of SF's exhibit, but it looks like one of the cats (they have two) spends its day in what looks to be like a rather large circus-style cage.

My vote went to zurich because it clearly has all the needs for a good exhibit. It matches the animal in questions habitat roughly, provides climbing opportunities, and is a decent size. The other exhibits have these traits to, but zurich more so.

Out of curiosity, what features would be required and/or desired to make a snow leopard enclosure a "world beater"? Most seem to feature rocks and a couple of tree stumps... and that's about it.
