best tiger exhibits in the US

I think San Diego Safari Park’s is universally viewed as one of the best, and I’ve been there a ton of times and agree. I personally liked the one at Minnesota Zoo a lot, but I’m by no means a tiger expert and was mostly there for the aquariums :D

Yeah, I agree on SDSP. Following close behind would be ZooTampa - J/K, ZT is a great zoo, but the tiger exhibit needs a major refresh and expansion.

How does Cleveland's tiger exhibit stack up? I saw a Zoo Tours video on it a while back and remember that it seemed pretty elaborate and impressive. Haven't seen it in person yet, though.

It’s not on Minnesota’s level but it’s pretty good. Haven’t been to San Diego and can’t speak to it. I haven’t checked how big it is in square feet but I like the secluded forest at the top of the hill vibes of John Ball Zoo’s exhibit.

Minnesota is the best I've seen, and in the running for the best in the country. It feels very naturalistic, you find yourself looking for a Tiger among the vegetation as if you were looking for one in the wild.

Minnesota Zoo has a superb Tiger complex and it's arguably the best in the USA. The whole area consists of at least two large habitats and close to 3 acres of space. A Tiger can be seen in this image:

Tiger Mountain at Bronx Zoo has two splendid exhibits that are very natural looking. There's a Tiger in this photo:

There are many other examples that don't quite reach the Minnesota/Bronx apex, but the Point Defiance Zoo Tiger exhibit is nicely landscaped and it contains a huge pool.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park has three superb Tiger exhibits, all heavily themed in a way that would make Pairi Daiza (Belgium) grin with delight.

Other above average Tiger exhibits can be found at zoos like Columbus, Sedgwick County, Omaha, Dallas and Hogle.

Tiger Passage is pretty good. The tigers have access to the connected yards, and you'll often see them napping in the overhead tunnels during the day. The only downside I can think of is the two smaller yards are, well, a tad small, but they are still well furnished.

Surprised that no one's mentioned Zoo Knoxville, which easily takes it for me from both an animal and guest perspective. Of the others mentioned that I've visited, I do agree that Jacksonville and especially Fort Worth are both top notch as well.
