What an unhelpful and needlessly sarcastic comment; It's literally a poll of members of the forum asking for their opinions. Nobody here has claimed to be an expert but were invited to give their opinions and as far as I am aware you are no more qualified to comment on it that anybody else here yet you have happily chimed in with your opinion on the subject.

Has anybody got any photographs of this now infamous indoor accommodation at Longlete?

It’s probably simply that both parties have shared the lake long enough that they tolerate one another-if you added a Bull hippo into the mix however I’m sure the outcome would be different! ;)

I too would be interested to see Longleats hippo housing. I remember when Woburn kept hippo and that was bad enough!

Do you happen to have any photos of the Hippo at Woburn?

Afraid not. The hippo were part of the main drive-through, near the giraffe stables, though the paddock was still separated from the road by partition.

I believe the paddock and stable are still there if you know where to look. I vaguely remember it being a thin strip with basic housing and an incredibly tiny pool, which has now been filled in. I only ever remember seeing one hippo, though I don’t know if Woburn held more. I’d be interested to know.
