/90 [96 taxa; 95 species are listed here; but the smaller number accounts for the extinct species included]
Overall I have seen a good seventeen or so of these species in the wild; and counting captive birds the number is around fourty-five. In my defense I haven't been to many parts of the world; mostly the Europe area but also to Israel.
Will be interested to see how others score. Don't expect anyone to score an elephant bird though!

I have 19 in the wild (plus an additional 21 in captivity), which I feel is pretty good considering this is a very Euro-centric list and I have never been to Europe.

Those which I have seen:
Andean Condor - Riga Zoo [2015], Welsh Mountain Zoo [2020]
Avocet - Birdland [various years], Cotswolds Wildlife Park [2021], perhaps other places
Bald Eagle - Millets Falconry [various years]
Bar-Headed Goose - Whipsnade [2023, probably earlier and other places]
Barn Owl - Millets Falconry [various years] probably other places I'm forgetting
Bee-Eater [European] - Zoo Berlin [2022]
Black Swan - Jerusalem Biblical Zoo [2016]; perhaps other places
Black Vulture - Chester Zoo [2019] [and the American species too at Millets Falconry 2024]
Blackbird - seen often in the wild
Blackcap - Knepp Estate [2023]
Black-headed gull - Seen in the wild; Farlington Marshes 2024 comes to mind
Blue Tit - seen often in the wild
Buffy Fish Owl - Paignton Zoo [2017]
Burrowing Owl - Birdland [various years], Millets Falconry [various years], maybe others?
Buzzard - Seen in wild occasionally
Canary - Birdland prior to 2019, probably seen it elsewhere
Cassowary - Birdland [2024, 2021, probably earlier], Cotswolds Wildlife Park [2023, 2021], Zoo Berlin [2022], probably others
Chaffich - Occasionally seen in the wild

Euras. Black Kite - Zoo Vincennes [2023]
Feral Pigeon - Easily seen in wild; larger cities of course but I have also seen them in my immediate area on occasion
[Lesser] Flamingo - Zoo Berlin [2022]
Golden Eagle - Millets Falconry at some point; probably elsewhere
Goldfinch - Seen in wild often enough
Green Woodpecker - Seen by a hair's breadth at Knepp [2023], heard it often there too
Great Bustard - Cotswolds Wildlife Park [2023, 2021]
Great-Crested Grebe - Have seen wild numerous times; always watered area
Great Grey Owl - Numerous places over the years; most recently Millets Falconry
Greater Rhea - Numerous places, too many to recall
Great Tit - Seen often in wild
Grey Heron - Seen often in wild

Humboldt Penguin - More places than I care to list
Hyacinthine Macaw - Berlin Zoo [2022], probably others
Inca Tern - Bristol Zoo [various years]
47 in all. Still more than half!

So I've seen 27/90 (30%) which is a very small amount which will hopefully be raised

I've seen Barn Owl but only the (T. furcata) species.
I will say...
When the original sketchbook was created [about 12 years ago now!] and also when the second tile was created [April 2024] the barn owl was still considered one species.
So if you wish you can pick up this one!

Even if the number changed to 28/90 animals, it would only increase the amount of completed animals by 1.11%

Of your list so far I have seen:

63 species in total
25 species just in captivity
24 species just in the wild
14 species in the wild & in captivity

I'm still rather surprised you have yet to see species such as Bullfinch, Curlew, Dipper, Gannet, Greenfinch, Guillemot etc as especially the finches are really quite commonplace garden birds. However, it of course depends where you are in the country for the other species as you are highly unlikely to see a Gannet in Oxfordshire for example :D

I have 19 in the wild (plus an additional 21 in captivity), which I feel is pretty good considering this is a very Euro-centric list and I have never been to Europe.
I'm curious as to what 'Euro-centric' implies.
I took the 90 species from these list to make note of what was 'European' and what was not.
But one issue I ran into quickly..... much of what lives in Europe also lives in Asia or Africa. This did leave me with some 'surefire Europeans', but also a good couple of 'close calls'.
Some close calls are simply because, yes they occur in Europe, but they are just as abundant in other areas of the world. Does the feral pigeon count as European? Yes, just as much as it counts as Asian, Australian or North American. Does the guillemot [or common murre] count as European? Sure it does, but it also counts as North American.
I recall 'G' being the one with the most such 'close calls'. Simply because quite a few of them had native ranges extending to North America. If we are counting European species as those with ranges that happenstance include Europe, we get 13 from G, but if Europe has to be a major part of the range to count as European, the total is measly 6.
Nevertheless I did estimation for both 'conservative' and 'liberal' estimates. Overall the 'conservative' estimate [no close calls] got 31 out of 90, or 34%. The liberal one, close calls included, got 51%, just over half with 46 species.
