I have done not many of these lately, but I see it is Sooty Mangabey's birthday today.

Thank you very much.

It's been a normal work day - and tomorrow too! - so no zoo-going for a while: just a very nice meal with my family, and the extraordinary match between Spain and the Netherlands (very thoughtful of them to lay on such excitement for my 44th birthday).

Happy birthday mate! The Dutch were simply incredible during the second half in a spectacular battering of the Spanish defence and the first 4 games of the World Cup have been brilliant. My fingers are crossed that the tournament continues along the pace that it has set.
