Normally, I would not disagree with management as I think Chester Zoo is doing an amazing and excellent job.Perhaps zoogiraffe would care to respond here?

Well first off will not try to compete with your knowledge on Arabian Gazelle ssp,i do know that when some members (myself included) found out that the Gazelles were leaving the collection we tried to persuade the zoo to change its mind to no avail,as the species was very much a Chester species and as far as i`m comcerned still should be!
As bongorod said the zoo did plan to bring in Goitred Gazelle from Helsinki,but i think this could be another species that fell foul of the Mike Jordon effect.
I think in the future Chester will bring in a Gazelle species or 2 but none will be as rare as the ones they got rid of.

I have been to Blackpool a few times in the last 5 years and the improvements have been slow but successful - but i wish they would stop the tannoy announcement that the park is closing in 15 minutes, 10 minutes, please leave the park and finally, the car park is due to close
