The Bonelli’s eagle is doing fine on Mallorca.
2009 a Conservation plan was set up for the species on Mallorca and in 2014 the population was about 14 / 15 animals. During the last years a total of 11 birds hatched in the wild but anualy 3 / 4 birds were lost by accidents with power lines. This year only one such accident occured in December and the total population at the end of the year was 29 birds, a dubbling of the number of 2014 :).
