Pantai Cahaya, a beach and also a mini zoo in the Kendal Regency, has succeeded in breeding one of their animal collections during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Jawa Tengah" (BKSDA Jateng), translates to the "Central Javan Natural Resources Conservation Center", stated that a female Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops aduncus) named Camelia gave birth to a female baby at late June 2020.
The head of the Central Javan BKSDA, Darmanto, stated that his medical team had completed the examination of the baby dolphin on October 22th, 2020. Pantai Cahaya have in total of 22 dolphins, 12 males and 9 females. The Indonesian Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar, named the baby dolphin "Sri Kurni", which means "A gift that is beautiful or good".
