I visited this collection around 10 years ago, and found it to be very run down. Has anybody been recently that can confirm it is still open? I can find very little information on the internet. I think the family who ran it also owned the Pet Shop in Burnham on Sea.
 
I went in 2005. There were a lot of colour-mutation ringnecks and lovebirds.

The lady in the shop said the owners had suffered from several thefts of parrots, but they hoped to keep the collection open.
 
We failed to gain entry in March 2009 due to building work !

We climbed the hill behind and there seemed to be 2 or 3 areas being developed. Small scale but the projects involved concrete blocks so there is certainly an on-going investment !

I asked a member of staff if they still had King parrots and he did not recognise the species so I suspect my own personal highlight may have left the collection !
