Several babies, for example Asian elephant, Lowland tapir, Dholes, Grant's zebra, Persian leopards and Crowned cranes were born/hatched in 2021.

How can one contend with an unfinished building that is not getting better while not continueing building it. That is even more of a capital investment wastage then was the hole in the budget under the former director. I just cannot make sense of this as it would be a prestigious project for the City.

On 6th April 2022, a male L'Hoest's monkey (named Mowgli) was transferred to Budapest Zoo from Colchester Zoo.

Information comes from the summer issue of Colchester Zoo's 'Zoo Life' magazine.

Recently Asiatic lion (Panthera leo persica) returned to the zoo after his ten-month stay in Prague.

In the middle of the summer a male Linnaeus' two-toed sloth (Choloepus didactylus) was born.
