I got an email from someone who now owns the property where the Bullens ran their African Lion Safari at Rockbank in Victoria.

I thought others might find this interesting.

Hi, I wish to contribute to your record of Australian history and development. My wife and I bought the property which was the Bullens African Lion Safari at Rockbank, Victoria from the Bullens Family in about 1988, the Lion Safari commenced operation in early 1970 and was closed in the mid seventies, currently we have built a plant nursery where the airstrip was, the lion park buildings, kiosk and toilet blocks still stand as well as some of the animal cages, we have considerable paperwork relating to the Lion safari also. Greg Bullen was one of the brothers who ran this safari park. It was an early part of Melbournes history in the West and Lions, Camels, Elephants were roaming this property with cars griving between them.

Thanks for passing that on Sim'.
As an unofficial "Australian Zoo historian" I find all this sort of thing very interesting.
