Taronga Western Plains Hosts and guides also discourage guests from eating Red Rock Deli Chips. The problem is Palm oil does not have to be written on the label. by law all they need to say is vegetable oil - Palm oil is also the worst for your health!
 
Good job, the new stuff is terrible, damn Australians changing our chocolate... Whitakers for all I say, buy local..!
 
Palm oil is a basic ingredient in many foodstuff, cooking oil and toileteries (shampoos, soaps et cetera) AND the western (civilised ... did someone ...) world is the major driver behind deforestation, be it palm oil, tropical hardwoods and what not eminates from the tropical realms of Africa, Asia and South America.

So, if it is to be fully effective there is a whole world out there we should no longer consume. However, before we do so, please ... that in itself is just a signal ... and may not save the rainforests. If it is to be fully successful it should not just be about boycott, but about alternative sources of income generation for local communities and carbon-credit programmes big-time.

In other words, we can make more informed and better choices .. but than we bestows upon us also the repsonsibilities to pay our ways for damages done and to put our future money where our mouths are.
