Ok for anyone living in or near LA or anyone who wants to make the trip the corpse flower is blooming! Tomorrow will be the only day you can see the corpse flower at science center bloom.
On June 1st, the center announced they broke ground on a new 200,000-square-foot building called the Oschin Air and Space Center, which when completed will make its three-phase three-decade master plan finished.*

*Not specifically animal news, but important to add that once the building is completed, they will be moving all the space stuff from the old building to the new, freeing up new space for potential exhibits (my speculation at least).

On January 10th, 2023, the center announced they have moved some tanks and animals in the Kelp Forest exhibit in order to complete flooring renovations.
