Here I present you a small great education center called "La Dehesa" placed in Riópar (Albacete) in the middle of Sierra del Segura

The center was created in the 90s by the naturalist Jorge Escudero and the old collaborator of the famous Felix Rodríguez de la Fuente, Aurelio Pérez. Right now the center is managed by Jorge and his daughter Marta (Both of them charming). Their wolfes are hand-raising and they have the most beautiful she-wolf in Europe, one 9 year-old called "Amelie"

Apart of wolfes they have almost all the great big iberian mammals from the Serranía del Segura (Capra pyrenaica hispanica, Sus scrofa baetica, Cervus elaphus hispanus, Dama dama...)

The place is a wonderful place to stay and to eat (we ate like vikings this weekend) and is near the Nacimiento del Río Mundo, a wonderful place for bird-watching and for see reptiles, including the endemic Algyroides marchii (easy to see them, but this weekend for excesive tourists they didn't appear)

Here you have the web direction www.cealadehesa.es

I visited Sierra de Segura / Cazorla 2 years ago and fell in love with the place. Very nice national park and with a beautiful botanic garden near Cazorla.

BTW: The park is the site of the Andalucia bearded vulture reintroduction.
