Central Park Zoo and Resort

FYI, Central Park Zoo and Resort is a zoo and waterpark located in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. It first opened in August 17, 2020.
 
Considering it is so new, the cages for the silvered langur, orang-utan, sun bears, cassowary, tigers and lions look very old fashioned. The film at
shows a person holding and pulling the hand of an orang-utan, which could cause problems for both species. There is a parrot walk through, which has more space. There are some stuffed animals and a tank for sharks and other fish.

Just some of my opinions after seeing this video:
1. The langur exhibit is ok in term of size, but I prefer glass viewing than chain link. I don't like the use of concrete as exhibit's floor.
2. The big cat exhibits remind me of early 20th century zoo exhibits, I don't like the design but I'm glad that some are quite spacious and use natural floor.
3. The orangutan, sun bear, and cassowary are just... Yikes.
4. The aviary is spacious but feels empty, I wish they add more foliage. It seems to be there for people to snap some photos for Instagram. Althought the species housed there is quite interesting (Sumatra laughingthrush).
5. The museum is ok, far better than the Bukittinggi zoo's "museum". Whoever did the taxidermy has done a good job on the chital and pangolin, can't say the same for the white lion.
6. The aquarium is pretty good, nothing to say about it.

This zoo is typical of new zoos in Indonesia: Entertainment-focused, "modern" exhibits, and doesn't seem to focus on conservation.
 
To commemorate the Indonesian Independence Day in August 17, Central Park Zoo hold a competition. One of which is a "duck catching competition", which involved a bunch of blindfolded children trying to catch a duck

I agree with this. This is ridiculous for a zoo to do!!
Central Park Zoo and Resort tryna be modern but actually still looks ass
