Chester Zoo Chester late 2013/Early 2014 news

Couple of updates from a visit today:

The Spiny Mice in the Okapi house are no longer there. The signage for them has been removed and the viewing windows are boarded over

The male Zebra has been moved onto the Oryx hardstand (females and foal were out in the main Zebra paddock)

The Onager and Camel paddock renovations have continued with the hardstand fencing now covered in cladding to make it off show

Photos will be in the gallery tomorrow
 
The 2013 Annual Report arrived through the post today.

I've only had a quick glance as yet, but two species bred for the first time at Chester in 2013. Red Titi and Kenyan Crested Guineafowl, although I don't think either reared their young. The inventory no longer includes a column for DNS, and it makes it difficult to see if the babiers were reared.
