Saw that article while I was work and it wasn't until I popped on the BBC's website I remember about it.

I noticed they've lsited the hybrid elephant birth for 1974 instead of 1978.

Actually this year is the 75th anniversary of the North of England Zoological Scoety and not the zoo which opened in 1931 (78 years ago).

It's nice to see the zoo remembering Geroge Mottershead.
