This is speculation, but does anyone know/think the plan is to still move the Komodo Dragons over to Islands eventually? I know the original ground plans had them over there. Would make geographical sense, of course. Though plans do change and there is no obvious room for them unless a new area is expanded into.

The original plan was to move them to a new building where the wart hogs are now; but that was a long time ago. However, according to some recent planning applications the entrance to Islands will be moved first and this will probably happen in early 2023.
I think the idea of moving the dragons to Islands was to allow the present building to become Madagascar in Danger.

The entrance to islands will stay the same, just the bridge will follow a slightly different route, starting closer to the island exit.

The original island plans had the KD in a house just off the path between the Benteng and the first tiger viewing area.

I thought the area between the banteng and the tigers was earmarked for the javan leopard which I assume has now fallen through.

I have no idea sorry, I was just going by the plans the zoo submitted to the council when islands first got approved

Yeah, those plans were unfortunately scrapped quite some time ago.
