Chimp Haven

This facility began to receive chimpanzees in April of 2005, and there are currently over 100 chimps in the establishment. The apes live in large social groupings in 4 and 5 acre habitats, and the informative website states that in the future there could be up to 300 chimps on the premises. The apes come from research facilities, but there are also animals that are from circuses and pet owners.

We have a similar chimp facility here in Central KY it's in Jessamine County,near Lexington and houses mostly chimps but also other primates. It is closed to the public. I believe they actually have access to vets from the Lincoln Park Zoo.
