Rodders will be 13 on August 3. He runs riot in what is referred to now as Sally's group. He had a rather bad start in life when his then twelve year old mum Jess lacked the maternal instincts to nurture him shortly after birth 2005. He was then handreared along with another infant born a month later, Ash. Before we come to the identity of his maternal grandmum.....lets figure out his father. Chimp pregnancies last 8 months....so for him to have been born in Aug 2005 then Jess conceived him January 2005 or earliest December 2004. Rodney died way before That December....so Hananya, who otherthrew the old ruler, is the sire for sure! His grandmother was a female chimp named Evie. She was among the group that arrived 25 yrs ago from the long closed Windsor Safari Park. She once lived in what was formerly Paddy's pavilion group. She died sometime late 2006 presumably at age 35 having been born 1971( old ARCs). Its always interesting to figure out the lineage of the individual primates which is often not discussed about for some reason.
