Another case of chimpanzee tool-use: dipping-sticks to extract water from tree crevices. Whilst leaf- and moss-sponges have already been documented, this example sounds more like the famous fishing-probes, in particular the brush-tip innovation of the Goualougo Triangle. Importantly, the brush-tip requires a manufacturing process.

The behaviour was recorded in the Comoe chimpanzees of the Côte d'Ivoire, using camera traps set by Chester Zoo scientists.
