Christmas snow in east U.S.

Well it is Christmas morning and according to the online news reports, there is a heavy snowstorm moving up the east coast of the United States. Varying from 2-5 inches in southern states to as much as 10-15 inches in New York City. So I hope the intrepid ZooChatters who manage to go out to the zoos in the next couple days will upload some interesting photos. I would particularly like to see Central Park's snow leopards and maybe even Philadelphia's snow leopards.

Of course here in Tucson there is not a cloud in the sky and the temperature is expected to reach 72 Farenheit

I'm planning on going to the Philadelphia Zoo tomorrow so hopefully I'll get some good pics in Big Cat Falls, Carnivore Kingdom, and Bear Country.

Got some good pics of amur tigers, snow leopards, polar bears, lynx, cheetahs, and mountain lions in the snow. I'll put some up soon.

Now ... who is going to show us snow leopards at Bronx or Central Park?

I went to the Bronx Zoo yesterday, but due to the girl I was with I wasn't able to spend much time there. Couple that with only one snow leopard being out and not being cooperative when I was there led to poor photo results. I got some pretty good tiger photos though.

Buffalo didn't really get any of the snow from the East storm, especially around Christmas. This past weekend we had some high temperatures for this time of year. However, yesterday temperatures dropped down and we got some fluffy snow. It was really cool because it was the type of heavy snow that was sticking to the fur of the animals. I have snow covered fur shots of polar bears, snow leopards, bison, and amur tigers. I also got a shot of the male polar bear carrying a pine tree branch in his mouth almost as he's giving a Christmas gift to the female polar bear. However, observing his normal behavior, he's not one to share. Even if it's mating season and he's after her.
