visited colchester zoo today & this is what i saw or found out
new baby giant anteater that was born on 22nd july, enclosure was taped off to give mum & baby more privacy. the previous baby giant anteater, silver, has been moved to the old fosssa enclosure.
the pregant rhino (flossy) is heathly & having a smooth pregency, she's due in september.
the male red panda is no along in the enclosure & when the train passed by the driver was saying they only have 1 red panda. there was no keeper nearby to ask so i don't know where he has gone, does anyone else know?
building has started on the new leopard enclosure & i briefly saw the new male leapard & he seems to be settling in.
there is a baby red ruffled lemur that is a couple of weeks old that looks heathly & was moving around a lot.
rajang(?) was in a training session when we saw him. tiga was moving around the inside enclosure a lot when we saw him in the morning, when we went back in the aftertoon he was hiding under a cover.
finally both the bintarongs have been put in the same enclosure.
